기성 [Before Midnight] I just wanted to have it, I just wanted to have her. 2020년 5월 EP [Episode 1], 2018년 싱글 [Stargazer]를 발매하여 그의 음악적 스펙트럼을 실험해보던 전자음악 아티스트 기성이 2021년 정통 신스웨이브를 표방하는 곡, [Before Midnight]으로 돌아왔다. 8, 90년대를 풍미하던 아날로그 신디사이저 사운드와 모노포닉 베이스, 그에 걸맞은 808 스타일의 드럼비트가 인상적인 곡으로, 도망쳐버린 연인에게 자정이 되기 전 돌아오라는 메시지를 전하는 화자의 시선을 노래하고 있다.
