<파이프립스 정규 1집 - Fable for Nobody> 영화에 대한 애정이 돋보이는 무비-비디오테이프 로큰롤. 개인적 감상으로는 영화관에서 시청한다기보다는, 브라운관 TV에 오래된 해적판 비디오를 넣어 돌린 듯한 느낌이다. 한 트랙 한 트랙 직선적인 듯하면서도 후반으로 가며 묘하게 구불구불 꼬이더니, 최후반에선 비디오 테이프들이 유기적으로 서로 엉겨 붙어 특이한 맛을 낸다. 국제 합작, 치직치직지직… - 김기민(꼬리물기/PCR) Raw. Ragged. High-energy. But also thoughtfully contained and controlled. A solidly put together album and a refreshing take on 2020s garage, with splashes of 90s indie nostalgia, psychedelia and noise blended in. Each track title references a film (presumably that the artists relate to), add-ing another personal layer that expands the listening experience. A real fun album to listen to.
