이디스 (edith) [무서운 시간] 파편화된 현실 속에서 허우적거리는 존재, 시간의 폭력성 앞에 선 개인의 절규— ‘무서운 시간’ 속에 폭주하는 치밀하게 분해하고, 폭발적으로 증폭시킨 이디스만의 개벽을 알리는 선언이다. 일제 강점기의 수탈과 억압 속에서 식민지 예술인으로 살아가야 했던 개인의 내면, 그 정서와 심상을 현대적으로 재해석하는 이디스(edith). 이번 싱글 ‘무서운 시간’에선 과거 윤동주 시인이 살았던 시대적 고통에 대해서 오늘날 물리적 시간과 가상화된 세계 속에서 방향을 잃은 우리들의 불안에 대하여 이야기 한다. A fragmented reality, a being floundering within it— a cry of the individual before the violence of time. “A Terrible Hour” is a declaration of Edith’s own cosmic upheaval, meticulously dismantled and ex-plosively amplified. Edith reinterprets the emotional landscape and inner turmoil of artists who lived under the exploi-tation and oppression of Japanese colonial rule, offering a modern lens on the psychological scars of that era. In her latest single, she reflects on the historical suffering endured by poet Yoon Dong-ju, drawing a parallel to our contemporary anxieties—lost in the disorienting flow of physical time and virtual worlds.
