cylinder [IS GGOOM] 사람들은 꿈에 대해 말할 때 먼 곳을 본다. cylinder 또한 머나먼 수평선만 바라보다가, 문득 자신이 가까운 꿈의 조각들을 허망히 놓치고 있다는 것을 깨달았다. ‘꿈’에 대한 내밀한 관찰 속에서 이번 앨범 [IS GGOOM]이 탄생했다. 이 앨범은 R&B/Soul 무드로 5가지 꿈의 장르를 표현해낸다. 매일 마주하는 일상이 꿈 그 자체임을 받아들이는 충만함, 갖지도 닿지도 못하는 꿈을 꾸며 애타하는 불안함, 완벽한 연인을 꿈꾸는 철없음, 꿈 같은 어린시절의 순수함을 기억하는 동심, 현실이 너무 가혹해 모든 게 꿈이었으면 하고 바라는 옅은 절망 - 여러분의 꿈은 어떤 모습과 가장 닮아있는가? 각 트랙 속에 담긴 ‘꿈’을 둘러싼 다양한 감정을 느끼면서 가사에 귀기울이다보면 오늘 내 꿈의 형태를 확인할 수 있다. 당신이 보고 느끼는 것이 곧 꿈이다. 오늘 우리의 음악을 들은 일, 내일 볼 하늘의 유독 예쁜 한 구석, 무언가를 이루기 위해 애쓰는 새벽에 차오르는 뿌듯함, 당신을 올려다보는 아이의 검은 눈동자가 곧 꿈이다. 거창하거나 낯간지럽지 않게, 담담하게 그러나 확실하게, 이 단어를 오래 들여다보기를, 매일 같이 남발해보기를 권한다. “GGOOM(꿈)” means Dream in Korean.
